I have been a huge fan of cowboy boots for the past five years.  Growing up in the Midwest, I never really even considered owning a pair until I started dating a Southern girl.  She told me I should give them a chance, and I have been a big fan ever since.  I will go over what I consider to be the pros and cons of cowboy boots.

The first and biggest pro I can think of is how stylish cowboy boots can be.  I cannot think of any footwear that looks better with denim than some sexy boots.  I wear them for country concerts, barn dances, and when I dress up as a cowboy for Halloween.  Another pro is that there are so many different, unique cowboy boots out there.  I own eight pairs of boots, and all of them are quite different than the others.  They are all different colors, different shapes, and different materials.

A major con I can think of is that there aren’t that many situations in which cowboy boots are appropriate to wear.  If you wear them to the mall or grocery store, people will probably just assume the rodeo is in town for the weekend.  Sure, you can wear them whenever and wherever you want, but you might get some funny looks.  Another con is that cowboy boots are just expensive.  I have gotten quite a few of my pairs on sale and they still are pretty pricey.  If you are on a budget, I encourage you to do some shopping around to find the best deal out there.
