Typically the color pink is associated with femininity and in particular young girls who are traditionally surrounded with pink items during the early years of their lives. However times have changed and pink is not viewed in such a narrow minded way anymore, it is more acceptable and popular for older females and even men to display a fondness for the color pink.
One recent trend where some people have expressed their love of pink is in the décor and design of their kitchen. The use of pink in home design doesn’t always have to be done in such a away which immediately jumps out at you, it can be done in a more tasteful and reserved manner. A reflection of the change that has been seen in kitchen design is reflected in the range of kitchen accessories and appliances that are now available. Gone are the days when such kitchenware was limited to a narrow range of standard colors. Kitchen appliances can be bought in just about and color imaginable.
For the lover of pink things this must be a dream come true as many manufactures produce a full range of pink kitchen appliances such as pink microwave ovens, dishwashers, blenders, toasters and coffee machines. An easier and cheaper way to make a statement using pink in the kitchen is through using smaller pink kitchen accessories such as cutlery, crockery, utensils, aprons and oven gloves.
Some careful thought must be put into the design of the kitchen so as to avoid it looking tacky or too extreme. Pink shouldn’t be overused and should be combined with other neutral color to provide balance within the color scheme. However for all those little girls that grew up loving pink and that blossomed into women who retained their passion pink things, then the kitchen is a natural progression to continue their passion for the color.
